We topped the meals off with a slice of peanut butter pie and a piece of carrot cake. The food however spoke for itself! It was delicious! Andy's service was awesome! He noticed that the shrimp had been put in the oyster stew and understood how much mom had wanted to enjoy oyster stew by itself, so he went and got each of us three grilled shrimp to eat with our rice. The manager walks over, apologizes for the mess up and shares that the restaurant would be picking up the bill for us that day due to all the gaffs that we had experienced. The meals arrived and we began to enjoy our food. After eating the bread, mom heads off to the bathroom and on her way back, bumps in to a very frustrated Andy, who explains that our dishes were plated incorrectly, but the meal was being replated and would soon be out. I explain that she is diabetic and the assistant manager offers a biscuit or cornbread with honey for mom while we wait. Mom even stops an assistant manager and asks what's taking so long.

After a while, we start to wonder what is going on since it seems to be taking forever for our food to arrive. She requested that our oyster stew be plated separately from the rice as she is used to oyster stew being made with a lot of liquid. She had been wanting oyster stew the whole week long trip and this was the first place we saw it on the menu. Yay! Everyone was happy! You have to know though, that Mom was thrilled. Darn, my mom and I were both looking at ordering the oyster stew with grilled shrimp over pimento cheese grits topped with bacon! Andy and Mom talked it out and it was decided that the dish could be prepared with rice instead of cheese grits. Our waiter, Andy (as my mother called him) came back to take our order, but was stopped by a manager and told that there were no cheese grits left. Upon being seated our drink orders were taken and we were given time to peruse the menu.

We were seated inside (We were told the wait was for outside and/or inside and would probably be outside within the time frame given.), which was a plus for us. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy, however we were told that the wait would only be 20 to 30 minutes. We always trust recommendations made by locals and this one did not fail. Page's Okra Grill was recommended by an employee at Boone Hall Farms Market. My mother and I visited on December 30th as we were traveling home from Myrtle Beach.
